Local Jewish Educators Attend Siegal College Summer Institute

This week, fifteen Columbus Jewish Education professionals attended the Siegal College Summer Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. The theme for the conference was Eilu V’Eilu: The Tradition of Sacred Argument in Jewish Education. Educators were from various institutions around Columbus including the Columbus Jewish Day School, Tifereth Israel, Congregation Beth Tikvah, the Columbus Jewish Federation and The Little Minyon.  Workshop topics included Hebrew education, classroom management, experiential education, visits to the Maltz Museum and Torah Study. Participants could also take part in “intensive tracks” to learn more in depth about a particular topic. Federations Jewish Education and Identity (JEdI) Department offered 10 scholarships for the program that made it possible for many participants to attend.
